	Education After many years of gymnastics and ballet, Crystal began her belly dance career in St. Louis MO. and has spent 8 years studying Classical Egyptian Style belly dance. Crystal has traveled the country to study with some of the industries top names; exploring several forms of belly dance from folkloric to Tribal Fusion. In July of 2006 Crystal achieved a level 1 certification in the Suhaila Salimpour Format. Crystal was an Illinois state champion gymnast, an All American Cheerleader, and part of a two-time national qualifying Cheerleading team.
Teaching Crystal founded Unveiled Belly Dance after moving to Ann Arbor MI in 2004. By 2006 class enrollment had grown too large to continue teaching ‘around town’ and Crystal opened the Unveiled Dance Studio in Ypsilanti Michigan. Unveiled Dance Studio specializes in belly dance and other cultural dance forms from around the world. Crystal drew from her experience as an ACE certified personal trainer, yoga, and Pilates instructor, to design and create a workout video specifically for belly dancers. The DVD was released in 2005 and sold out. She is currently working on a second video to be released in 2007. Crystal has taught workshops and special interest classes for the University of Michigan, Eastern Michigan University, Wayne State, and several private dance organizations. As a teacher Crystal has a strong belief in giving students a solid foundation for this dance. Her classes focus on building techniques that apply to all styles of belly dance. She believes that being a good teacher has more to do with your ability to see the needs of your students and to be able to reach them one by one on a personal level.
	Performing Crystal is a dynamic and powerful performer. She is an experienced performer in classical Egyptian Cabaret, folkloric, and various fusion styles of belly dance. Crystal has preformed at several private parties, weddings, Middle Eastern night clubs, and restaurants. She has also preformed in many larger theatre and festival events. Crystal has also preformed on stage with such musicians as Raquy and the Cavemen, Karim Nagi, and Mary Zysk to name a few. Crystal has preformed with the Unveiled Dance Company, and combined forces with the Aegela Dance Company, Lapis Lazuli of Toledo. In April of 2007 Crystal will be making her début performance with Jamila Salimpour's Bal Anat. Unveiled 2006 Tappan Theatre, Detroit Zoo Summer fest, Somerset Collection, Headlining People's Dancing 20th Anniversary performance, Ann Arbor Labor Day Connections Festival, Wayne State University, Unveiled 2007 at Towsley Auditorium, The Place of Southfield, Studio 4, Ann Arbor Art Fair, Dancing in the Streets, Concert of Colors at the Max M. Fisher Music Center, and several performances though the University of Michigan, and Eastern Michigan University
